We had our 20 week ultrasound today. And it was fairly obvious that I do indeed "have the wiggles". This baby is a boy! (Gasp!) The woman doing the ultrasound seemed quite sure. It was tricky getting a great picture, but over and over, she'd say, "Oh, there it is!"
I'm kind of speechless. Not only did I lose to Team Tom (yet again...) but really? A boy? I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it. We don't have boys. It's always a girl... But apparently, if you keep trying longing enough, anything can happen!
Tom can't stop smirking and I randomly break out into laughter. I can't wait to see what a Bishop boy looks like. So far, the girls are all clones, but we (obviously) used a different cookie cutter for this one!
I'm pretty excited that I was wrong. This certainly changes the dynamic of our family and I say, Bring it on!
YAAAY for boys!!! Congratulations!!! I'm so happy and excited for you. Can't wait to see what a Bishop boy looks like too. Any name ideas yet? :)
ReplyDeleteThis baby will be so cute! How can he not be with his mama and daddy? I think he will look like Tom.
ReplyDeleteA little Bishop boy will be adorable. And depending on what we're having, I may be sending you a few (or a lot of) boy things. Yay for boys!
ReplyDeletecongrats!!! boys are......different than girls. ;) And try telling my parents that thing about "if you keep trying..." they have 7 girls, but they wouldn't have it any other way. And I'm sure you wouldn't either!
ReplyDeleteI posted earlier but for some reason it disappeared so "I'll try again"...which is a bit of a pun considering the topic of this blog...although we know your intent wasn't to have another baby so you could get a boy. I have to admit that I am having trouble getting my head around this revelation too but I am so happy for you that you will get to experience both genders. Boys ARE different and it enriches a family to have both. Tom is ADORABLE in those photos! Uh...do you think Tom will mind having his mother-in-law say he's adorable?? A boy! Wonder of wonders...miracle of miracles!
ReplyDeleteCongradulations A Boy.
